Overview
Duaplate can be produced in smooth varieties to maximize material flow. Duaplate smooth minimizes hang-up and helps facilitate mass flow in hoppers without the design or wear penalties.
The smooth surface of Duaplate smooth is a result of using a flux during the overlay process. This smooth finish, along with a slightly modified carbide structure, both contribute to Duaplate smooth’s low friction properties. Duaplate smooth is best employed in situations where mass flow is critical and hang-up is a problem, such as in hoppers and chutes.
Sizes
Smooth varieties of Bradken's D60, D80 and D90 Duaplate grades are available. Smooth D60 and D80 are available through the full range of thicknesses that the standard finish plates are supplied in. D90 smooth is only available as a 6mm overlay. These three smooth grades allow Bradken to offer a low friction solution to your material handling problems whether it is affected by impact or fine particle abrasion.
