Wearalloy

Wearalloy 450 is a heat-treated, quench and tempered steel designed for applications where shock and severe abrasion are the primary cause of failure. Wearalloy 450 has a typical chemical composition outlined in the table below.

Element C P Mn Si S Ni Cr Mo B CE(IIW) PCM
Composition (%) 0.29 0.018 0.30 0.30 0.003 0.20 1.00 0.25 0.0010 0.61 0.4

Wearalloy 450 has mechanical properties far superior to mild steel, with a typical hardness of 465HB and a tensile strength of 1480MPa. Wearalloy 450 is easily welded, cut and formed for accurate fitting and installation on any application. Wearalloy 450 is designed to provide maximum abrasion resistance and impact protection at an economically viable cost.
